What is a Blarket? A Blarket is simply a blog that is maintained by a group of sponsors (called "champions") all aimed at a common target market (BLARKET = BLog + mARKET).

If you own or manage a company, you know that it is important to stay in front of your potential clients. A website provides useful content, but most people don't visit a website more than once. A blog provides ever-changing content that is useful or interesting to the reader. A blog is a great way to position yourself as an expert in your field and keep your name on the minds of your customers.

There are 2 challenges with maintaining a blog. First of all, most blogs provide new content weekly in forms of 2-3 (or more) articles per week. This requires a lot of good writing that many people just don't have the time, skill, or desire to do. The second challenge is that a successful blog needs readers. Blog writers take numerous steps to try to get their message out to their target market (ex: social networking, emails, business cards, word of mouth, search optimization, etc).

To simplify, most business owners simply don't have the time to maintain and market a blog!

The Blarkets concept addresses both of these issues. Each Blarket utilizes multiple "champions" who all provide content for the blog.
